This is the agreement between you and Alfred Digital LLC, a company registered in New York, for using Prospect Card. Using the product means accepting it. How we handle information is in the Privacy Policy, which is part of this agreement.
Who may hold an account
Accounts are for adults: parents and guardians, coaches, and organization administrators. Players do not hold accounts. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including the sign-in codes sent to your email.
Information about a player — the part that matters
Prospect Card exists to publish information about somebody. Usually that somebody is a child. So:
- You confirm you have the right to enter a player's information — that you are their parent or guardian, or that a parent or guardian has given you permission.
- Publishing an adult's contact details requires that adult's agreement. If you set a card to show a parent's name and email, you are confirming that parent asked for it. The same applies to a recommendation letter that carries its author's contact details.
- You decide who receives a card link. A link works for anyone holding it, including anyone it is forwarded to. Send it the way you would give out a phone number.
- Do not enter information about a player you have no relationship with, and do not use the product to contact families who have not asked to hear from you.
If a parent asks you to remove or change something, do it. If they ask us, we will tell the organization holding the card, and we will act ourselves where we must.
Acceptable use
- No unlawful use, and nothing that harms or harasses a child.
- No attempt to reach another account's data, or to guess share links.
- No automated scraping, and no reselling access to the product.
- No uploading anything you do not have the right to upload — including video shot by someone else.
We may suspend or close an account that does these things, and we will say why.
Plans and payment
Plans are annual and their prices are published on the pricing page. Payment is taken by Stripe; card details never reach our servers. A plan sets how many player cards an account may hold, and reaching that limit stops new cards rather than affecting existing ones.
A subscription renews annually until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account, which stops the next renewal and leaves the current period running to its end. If something has gone wrong and you want a refund, write to help@alfred-digital.com and we will deal with it as a person, not a policy.
If a subscription lapses, cards stop being editable and new ones cannot be created. We do not delete anyone's data because a payment failed.
Your content stays yours
Photos, video, statistics and written material belong to whoever provided them. You give us permission to store and display that material for the purpose of running the product — showing a card to someone holding its link, emailing a card to a coach when you ask us to. Nothing more. We claim no ownership, we do not use your content to train AI models, and we do not licence it to anyone else.
What we promise, and what we do not
The product is provided as it is. We work to keep it running and accurate, and we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that a college coach will open a card or reply to it.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before it arose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Ending it
You can stop at any time; email us and we will close the account and delete the cards it manages. We may end an account for a breach of these terms. If we ever discontinue the product, we will give notice and a way to export what you have.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will say so in the app before it takes effect, and the date at the top will tell you which version you are reading.
Law
New York law governs this agreement, and the courts of New York are where any dispute is heard.
